Scope:
As the architect-engineer, KZF Design converted the former Cincinnati Bell Technical Center in Northern Kentucky into Toyota’s North American Corporate Headquarters, and later nearly doubled the space with an addition.

Project description:
In March 1996, Toyota purchased the 117,000-square-foot Cincinnati Bell building and hired KZF Design to plan, design and reconstruct the facility to meet its needs on a fast-paced schedule. By October 1996, almost 500 Toyota employees were moved into the reconfigured building.

Toyota's offices were transformed from a training facility to an open office floor plan with workstations on four floors surrounding and open to a central atrium. From their offices, employees coordinate purchasing and support for all Toyota manufacturing operations including production engineering, legal, and other services for more than a half dozen plants throughout North America—including their mammoth facility in Georgetown, Kentucky.

In 1999, KZF Design was hired to design a 100,000-square-foot, four-story addition to the building. The additional space includes 100 employee workstations, conference rooms and a new employee cafeteria.
