Scope
KZF provided design, space planning and interior design services for these two buildings.

Project description:
Located in the neo-traditional neighborhood of Baldwin Park, KZF designed two traditional post world war II industrial buildings, which flank an open courtyard. One building is a 6,600-square-foot one-story, and the other is a 4,000-square-foot two-story. One of the buildings will be occupied by the owner of the project.

KZF provided design services for the shell buildings as well as space planning and interior design for the owner.

In order to take advantage of the site’s lakefront view the buildings were designed with balconies, outdoor patios and abundant fenestration. Careful attention was paid to the proportions of the façade in order to create a pair of buildings that will have a comfortable “pedestrian scale” in keeping with the rest of the neighborhood.
