Project description:
KZF Design and developer Al Neyer Inc. have teamed to propose services from development to finance for a 12-acre site at the gateway to Northern Kentucky University for the Northern Kentucky University Foundation. The site is planned as a mixed-use facility to include office buildings, a hotel with conference / banquet accommodations, retail space, and associated parking for the development.
Phase One is proposed to consist of ground floor retail space and second floor office space located directly above the retail in two adjacent buildings. In addition, Phase One will include a 112-room limited service hotel and 11,000-square foot conference space. This phase of the project will be served by approximately 400 surface parking spaces.
Phase Two will consist of a corporate office building and a 200-car parking deck over a portion of the surface, which will be added to serve the additional office building.
The site chosen for this development will act as a gateway onto the campus at its main location on Nunn drive. Northern Kentucky University was established in 1968 and now has a total enrollment of over 14,000 students. The university’s proximity to downtown Cincinnati and the Cincinnati International Airport make the Gateway site a prime location for a successful and vital development that would welcome students and visitors onto campus.
